THE COVENANT
Daily Devotionals & Reflections
In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

God Is Preparing You For What You Prayed For
Sometimes we focus so much on what we're waiting for that we forget God is also working on us while we wait.
We pray for opportunities.
We pray for blessings.
We pray for open doors and answered prayers.
But often, before God changes our circumstances, He works on our character.
Before the promotion comes, He teaches faithfulness.
Before the breakthrough comes, He teaches perseverance.
Before the blessing arrives, He develops trust.
Waiting is not wasted when God is involved.
What feels like a delay may actually be preparation.
God knows exactly what is ahead of you, and He is shaping you for the season you're praying to enter.
The challenge is that preparation often feels ordinary.
It happens in the daily choices.
In the quiet obedience.
In the moments when no one sees your faithfulness but God.
Yet these are the very moments that build the foundation for what is to come.
So don't become discouraged if things seem slower than you expected.
God is not only preparing the blessing.
He is preparing you.
And when His timing arrives, you'll be able to look back and see that every lesson, every challenge, and every season of waiting had a purpose.
Remember:
“While I am waiting on God, God is preparing me.”
Philippians 1:6 NIV
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
What might God be teaching me in this season of waiting?
Am I focused only on the destination, or am I allowing God to grow me through the journey?
How can I be faithful with what God has placed in front of me today?
As you breathe in, whisper: “Prepare me, Lord.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “For what You have planned.”
Reflection
Closing Prayer
Lord,
Thank You that You are always at work, even when I cannot see it. Help me trust that every season has a purpose and that You are preparing me for what lies ahead.
Give me patience while I wait, wisdom while I learn, and faith to believe that Your timing is perfect.
Continue the good work You have started in me.
Amen.
