In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

Things Are Not What They Always Seem

Life doesn't always make sense.

Sometimes what looks like a setback is actually God's setup for something greater.

A closed door may be His protection.

A delay may be His preparation.

A difficult season may be the very place where your faith takes root and grows stronger.

We naturally judge our circumstances by what we can see. When prayers seem unanswered or plans fall apart, it's easy to assume God isn't working.

But God is always working—even when we can't see it.

Throughout Scripture, God often worked behind the scenes. Joseph's imprisonment looked like defeat, yet God was positioning him to save a nation. David spent years waiting after he was anointed king. Martha and Mary thought Jesus had arrived too late, but He was about to perform one of His greatest miracles.

What looked hopeless became a testimony of God's power.

If you are facing a situation that doesn't make sense today, don't lose heart.

Trust the God who sees the whole picture.

His plans are higher than ours, His timing is perfect, and His faithfulness never fails.

Keep walking by faith, even when your eyes cannot yet see what God is doing.

One day, you'll look back and realize that what seemed like the end was actually the beginning of something beautiful.

“Faith believes that God is working, even when I cannot see the evidence.”

2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV

“For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Am I allowing my circumstances to determine my faith, or am I trusting God's promises?

Where have I seen God turn a difficult situation into something good?

How can I choose faith over fear today?

As you breathe in, whisper: “I walk by faith.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “I trust Your plan.”

Reflection

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for reminding me that things are not always what they seem. When I can't understand what You're doing, help me to trust Your heart and Your promises.

Strengthen my faith to walk by what Your Word says rather than by what my eyes can see. Help me to remember that You are always working behind the scenes for Your glory and my good.

Give me peace as I wait, courage as I walk, and confidence that Your plans for me are always good.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
