Sometimes I want God to show me the whole path before I take the first step. I want to know where I am going, how everything will work out, and what is waiting for me around the corner. But God often gives me something different—guidance for the next step.
He promises, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go.” That means I don't have to have everything figured out. I don't need to know every detail of what is coming. I simply need to trust the One who already sees the entire path.
There are seasons when I feel uncertain about what to do next. I may have several options, unanswered questions, or things that don't make sense yet. But I can bring those things to God and ask Him to direct me. He knows what I cannot see, and He knows what is best even when I don't understand His timing.
Lord, show me my next step. If I need to wait, help me wait. If I need to move, give me courage to move. If I need to let something go, give me the strength to release it. I don't need to force my way forward when I have a God who has promised to guide me.
Today, I will stop worrying about the entire journey and focus on the step God is placing in front of me. I may not know what comes next, but I know Who is leading me.

Show Me My Next Step, Lord
Am I asking God to show me the whole path when He may only be asking me to take the next step?
What decision or situation do I need to surrender to God's guidance?
Am I willing to follow God even when I don't have all the answers?
Take a moment today to declare:
“Lord, I don't need to know everything that is ahead. I trust You to instruct me, teach me, and guide me. Show me my next step, and give me the courage to take it. I will not rush ahead of You. I will not allow fear to keep me stuck. I trust the One who sees the whole path. Breathe in Your guidance. Breathe out my need to control the outcome.”

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for promising to guide me. When I feel uncertain, remind me that I don't have to figure everything out on my own. Teach me to recognize Your direction and give me the wisdom to follow it. Help me trust You with what I cannot see and be faithful with the step You have placed before me. Lead me where You want me to go, and keep my heart aligned with You.
