In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

I Will Not Stop Seeking God

There will be seasons when seeking God feels easy and seasons when it feels like a struggle. There will be days when prayers seem to flow and days when all we can manage to say is, β€œLord, help me.” But regardless of how we feel or what is happening around us, one thing must remain constant: I will not stop seeking God.

I will seek Him when I have answers and when I have questions. I will seek Him when things are going well and when everything feels like it is falling apart. I will seek Him when I feel close to Him and even when I feel like He is silent.

Seeking God isn't only about asking Him for what I need. It is about wanting Him. His presence. His wisdom. His direction. His correction. His peace. His will for my life.

There may be times when I don't understand what God is doing. There may be prayers that seem unanswered and doors that remain closed. But I don't want my circumstances to determine whether I continue pursuing Him. If anything, the difficult seasons should drive me closer.

Because when I keep seeking God, I am reminded that my circumstances are not my foundation. God is.

I don't want to seek God only when I need something from Him. I want to know Him more deeply. I want to recognize His voice, follow His direction, and trust Him even when I cannot see what is ahead.

So today, my decision is simple: I will not stop seeking God. Not because everything is perfect, but because He is still God. Not because I understand everything, but because I trust Him. Not because I have everything I want, but because I know that nothing I could ever receive is greater than having Him.

Psalm 16:8 NIV

β€œI will seek the LORD continually: him have I set always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”

Am I seeking God because I want Him, or mainly because I want something from Him?

What tends to distract me from seeking God consistently?

How can I intentionally pursue God more deeply today?

Will I continue seeking Him even when I don't understand what He is doing?

Take a moment today to declare:
β€œI will not stop seeking You, Lord. I will seek You when I understand and when I don't. I will seek You when I am strong and when I am tired. I will seek You when prayers are answered and when I am still waiting. Breathe in Your presence. Breathe out my fear. Breathe in Your peace. Breathe out my doubt. I choose You, Lord. I will keep seeking You, because You are my foundation, my strength, and my hope.”

Reflection

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Lord, give me a heart that continually seeks You. Don't allow disappointment, unanswered prayers, difficult circumstances, or distractions to pull me away from You. Teach me to seek Your presence before I seek Your provision, Your will before my own, and Your voice above every other voice. When I don't understand, help me trust. When I am tired, give me strength. When I feel distant, draw me closer. I don't want to stop seeking You. I want to know You more, follow You more closely, and remain anchored in You through every season.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
