THE COVENANT

Daily Devotionals & Reflections

In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”
Jeremiah 29:12–13 (NLT)

October 7, 2026

There are moments when I simply have to admit, β€œI don't have the answers.” I don't know why certain things are happening. I don't know how everything will work out. I don't know what tomorrow will bring. And sometimes, not knowing can make me feel unsettled.

But God reminds me that His thoughts are higher than mine and His ways are beyond what I can understand. Just because I cannot see the reason behind something doesn't mean there isn't one. Just because I cannot understand His way doesn't mean He isn't leading me.

I often want God to explain everything before I trust Him. I want to know the plan, the timing, the outcome, and every detail in between. But faith doesn't always come with explanations. Sometimes faith simply means saying, β€œLord, I don't understand, but I trust You.”

I don't have to have the answers because God does. I don't have to know what is coming because He already knows. And I don't have to understand every step when I know the One who is leading me.

Today, I am giving myself permission not to have it all figured out. I can be uncertain and still have faith. I can have questions and still have peace. I can say, β€œI don't know,” without being afraid, because God knows.

Isaiah 55:8 KJV

β€œFor my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”

I Don't Have The Answers

What am I struggling to understand right now?

Am I looking for answers that God may be asking me to surrender instead?

Can I trust God even when He doesn't explain what He is doing?

Take a moment today to declare:

β€œI don't have the answers, but God does. I don't know what tomorrow holds, but God does. I don't understand everything happening around me, but I trust the One who does. I release my need to figure everything out. I will not let uncertainty steal my peace. I choose to trust God even when I cannot understand His ways.”

Reflection

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

I don't have the answers. There are things I wish I understood, things I wish You would explain, and situations where I desperately want clarity. But today, I choose to trust You without having every answer. Help me accept what I don't know and find peace in knowing that You do. When my mind wants to figure everything out, remind me to place it back into Your hands. Give me faith when I have questions and peace when I have uncertainty.

Amen.
