Daily Devotionals & Reflections

In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”
Jeremiah 29:12–13 (NLT)

October 1, 2026

There are days when I am simply tired. Tired in my body, tired in my mind, and sometimes tired in my spirit. On those days, it can feel easier to say, β€œI’ll pray later,” or β€œI’ll spend time with God when I have more energy.”

But I’m learning that I should never be too tired for God.

God is not asking me to come to Him only when I have everything together. He wants me to come when I am exhausted, overwhelmed, discouraged, and running on empty. Sometimes the very reason I feel so tired is because I have been trying to carry things that were never meant for me to carry alone.

Even if all I can manage is a quiet, β€œLord, help me,” that is still coming to Him. Even if my prayer is short, He hears it. Even when I cannot find the right words, He understands my heart.

I don't want my tiredness to become an excuse to drift away from the One who gives me strength. Instead, I want it to become the reason I draw closer.

So today, even when I am tired, I will seek Him. I will give Him my exhaustion, my thoughts, my worries, and everything I am carrying. Because God is not another thing on my list to accomplish. He is the One who helps me keep going.

Psalm 63:1 NIV

β€œYou, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.”

Never Too Tired for God

I don't have to be at my best to come to God. I can come tired. I can come weary. I can come exactly as I am. Sometimes, the moment I think I have nothing left to give is the moment I discover that God has been waiting for me to come to Him so He can give me strength.

Take a moment today to declare:
β€œI may be tired, but I will not neglect my time with God. When I have no strength, I will come to Him. When I have no words, I will still seek Him. When I feel empty, I will allow Him to fill me again. I am never too tired for the One who gives me strength.”

Reflection

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

When I am tired, remind me that I am never too tired to come to You. When I have no words, hear what my heart is trying to say. When I feel empty, fill me again with Your presence. Help me not to push You aside because I am busy, overwhelmed, or exhausted. Teach me to run to You first, especially when I have nothing left. Thank You for being my strength when I am weak and my source when I am empty.
In Jesus' name,

Amen.
