THE COVENANT

Daily Devotionals & Reflections

In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”
Jeremiah 29:12–13 (NLT)

I Am Not There Yet....But God!

I know I’m not there yet.

There are still areas I’m growing in.
Still habits I’m working through.
Still moments where I wish I handled things differently.

I know I’m being mended.
Being shaped.
Being molded.

And if I’m honest…
sometimes it feels like I should be further along by now.

Like I should have it more together.
Like certain things shouldn’t still come up.

But then I’m reminded—

I’m still in God’s hands.

He is the potter.
And I am still the clay.

That means I’m not unfinished by accident—
I’m unfinished on purpose.

Because God is still shaping me.

Still refining how I think.
Still working on how I respond.
Still building something in me that I can’t fully see yet.

And maybe you’ve noticed…
some of these thoughts sound familiar.

That’s because this is real for me right now.

I’m not repeating—I’m growing, and I’m letting you see it.

This is what the process looks like.

Not perfect.
Not instant.
But intentional.

So today, I’m not going to focus on how far I have to go.

I’m going to trust the One who is shaping me.

Because He doesn’t leave His work unfinished.

And remind myself:

“I’m not there yet… but I’m in His hands.”

Isaiah 64:8 NIV

“Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”

Where have I been feeling like I should be further along?

Can I recognize that I am still being shaped, not stuck?

What would it look like to trust the process instead of rushing it?

Breathe

As you breathe in, whisper: “You are shaping me.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “I trust Your hands.”

Reflection

Closing Prayer

Lord,

Thank You that I am still in Your hands. Even when I feel unfinished, remind me that You are still shaping me with purpose.

Help me to trust the process, to give myself grace, and to lean into what You are doing in my life.

I may not be there yet—but I trust that You are not finished with me.

Amen.
