Are You Blocking What God Is Trying to Do
Sometimes we ask God for more…
More clarity.
More provision.
More open doors.
But without realizing it, we can also be the ones standing in the way.
Not intentionally.
But through habits, thoughts, and patterns we’ve grown used to.
Holding on to what’s familiar.
Overthinking every step.
Doubting before anything even has a chance to unfold.
And slowly, we resist the very thing we’ve been praying for.
Because what God is doing doesn’t always look like what we expected.
It might feel uncomfortable.
It might require change.
It might stretch you in ways you didn’t plan for.
But that doesn’t mean it’s not from Him.
Sometimes the “block” isn’t outside of you…
It’s within.
Fear that keeps you from moving.
Control that won’t let go.
Mindsets that say “this won’t work” before it even begins.
So today is a moment to pause and ask:
Am I open… or am I resisting?
Because God is always working.
The question is—are you allowing yourself to move with Him?
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You just have to be willing.
Willing to trust.
Willing to release control.
Willing to step forward even when it feels unfamiliar.
And remind yourself:
“I will not block what God is trying to bring into my life.”
Isaiah 43:19 NIV
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?"
Where might I be resisting what God is trying to do?
Am I holding on to control instead of trusting Him?
What is one step I can take to be more open today?
As you breathe in, whisper: “I release control.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “I receive what You have.”

Closing Prayer
Lord,
Show me where I may be blocking what You are trying to do in my life. Help me to release fear, control, and doubt.
Give me a willing heart and open hands to receive what You are bringing.
I trust You and choose to move with You today.
Amen.
