THE COVENANT
Daily Devotionals & Reflections
In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

I'm Listening, Lord
There are moments when we want God to answer quickly, clearly, and in the exact way we hope. But often, God begins by asking for something even deeper than understanding: our attention.
“I’m listening, Lord” is more than a prayer. It is a surrender. It means setting aside our own noise, our own plans, and even our own assumptions long enough to hear His voice. Sometimes God speaks through Scripture, sometimes through peace, sometimes through a gentle correction, and sometimes through a quiet prompting that draws us back to Him.
Listening to God requires patience. It means trusting that silence is not absence. It means believing that even when we cannot see the full picture, He is still speaking, still guiding, and still near.
If today feels uncertain, pause and make room for His voice. You do not need to have all the answers before you come to Him. You only need a willing heart.
When you say, “I’m listening, Lord,” you are saying, “I trust You enough to wait, obey, and follow.”
1 Samuel 3:10 NIV
“Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.”
Am I making space to hear God, or only space to speak to Him?
What might God be saying to me through my current season?
How can I be more attentive to His voice today?
As you breathe in, whisper: “Speak, Lord.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “I’m listening.”
Reflection
Closing Prayer
Lord,
Quiet my heart and help me hear You clearly. Remove distractions, calm my thoughts, and give me a spirit that is ready to listen. Teach me to trust Your voice above my own understanding, and help me follow wherever You lead.
Amen.
