Stay Close To God

The enemy looks for distance.

Distance between you and God.
Distance between you and prayer.
Distance between you and the things that keep your spirit strong.

Because the farther you drift,
the easier it becomes to feel discouraged, distracted, and disconnected.

That’s why proximity matters.

Your closeness to God affects your awareness of Him.
Your sensitivity to His voice.
Your strength when life becomes difficult.

You can’t expect intimacy with God while constantly pushing Him to the side.

Intimacy is built through time.
Through consistency.
Through choosing Him daily, even in small ways.

Prayer.
Worship.
Reading His Word.
Quiet moments with Him throughout your day.

These things don’t make you “perfect.”

They keep you connected.

And when you stay connected, you become stronger spiritually.

Not because challenges disappear—
but because you are no longer trying to face them empty.

The enemy wants you distracted.
Spiritually drained.
Too busy to spend time with God.

Because a disconnected believer becomes an easier target.

So today, protect your connection with God.

Not out of fear—
but because closeness with Him changes everything.

And remind yourself:

“The closer I stay to God, the stronger I become.”

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

Have I been intentionally making time for God lately?

What distractions have been pulling me away spiritually?

What is one practical way I can draw closer to God today?

As you breathe in, whisper: “Draw me closer.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “I want more of You.”

Closing Prayer

Lord,

Help me to stay close to You. Remove distractions and anything that weakens my connection with You.

Teach me to seek You daily and build real intimacy with You through prayer, worship, and time in Your presence.

Strengthen my spirit and help me remain grounded in You.
