In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

When Wisdom Is Needed
There are moments in life when I simply don’t know what to do. Decisions feel complicated, emotions run high, and the path forward isn’t clear. In those moments, it can be tempting to rely only on my own understanding or to search everywhere else for answers first.
Yet this verse offers a simple and comforting invitation: ask God for wisdom.
God does not hesitate when we come to Him with questions. He does not criticize us for not having everything figured out. Instead, Scripture tells us that He gives wisdom generously and without finding fault. That means I don’t have to approach Him nervously or fear that He will be impatient with me. He welcomes my questions.
Wisdom is more than knowledge. It is the ability to see life from God’s perspective and to walk in His ways even when circumstances are confusing. When I ask for wisdom, I’m inviting God to shape my thinking, guide my decisions, and help me respond with faith instead of fear.
Sometimes the answer comes through Scripture, through the quiet prompting of the Spirit, through wise counsel, or through circumstances that gradually become clearer. The important thing is that I keep turning toward God with a trusting heart.
I don’t have to have every answer today. What I need most is the willingness to ask and the humility to receive the wisdom God lovingly gives.
James 1:5 NIV
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
What situation in your life right now requires wisdom?
Have you brought that situation honestly before God in prayer?
Today, pause and bring that specific situation to Him. Ask for wisdom, trusting that He hears you and desires to guide you.

Closing Prayer
Lord,
You know the places in my life where I feel uncertain and unsure of the right path. Thank You for inviting me to come to You when I lack wisdom. Help me remember that You give generously and that I never need to be afraid to ask.
Guide my thoughts, my decisions, and my steps. Teach me to see things from Your perspective and to walk in the direction You lead. Thank You for being patient with me and for faithfully guiding those who seek You.
Amen.
