Don't Rush The Process

We don’t like waiting.

We don’t like slow progress.

We don’t like feeling like we’re in-between.

We don’t like not knowing when things will finally come together.

So we rush.

We try to speed things up.

Force clarity.

Push outcomes.

Move ahead of where we really are.

But growth doesn’t work that way.

God is not in a hurry—even when you are.

There are things being formed in you right now that can only happen in the process.

Patience.

Strength.

Discernment.

Depth.

And if you rush through it, you risk missing what God is trying to build within you.

Not every delay is denial.

Not every slow season is a setback.

Sometimes, it’s intentional.

God is doing a deeper work—one that isn’t just about getting you there, but about preparing you for there.

So tomorrow, when you feel the urge to rush ahead…

Pause.

Breathe.

Trust the timing.

And remind yourself:

“I don’t need to rush what God is still working on.”

Because what God is building in you is just as important as what He’s bringing you to.

James 1:4 NIV

“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Where in my life am I trying to rush the process?

What might God be developing in me during this season?

Can I trust that His timing is doing something good in me?

As you breathe in, whisper: “I trust Your timing.”

As you breathe out, whisper: “I will not rush.”

Reflection

Closing Prayer

Lord,

Help me to slow down and trust the process You have me in. When I feel impatient or uncertain, remind me that You are working in ways I cannot always see.

Give me the grace to grow, the strength to wait, and the faith to trust that Your timing is perfect.

Amen.
