Quiet Growth

There are seasons when I don’t see much happening.

I’m praying.

I’m showing up.

I’m trying to stay faithful.

But there’s no dramatic breakthrough. No big moment. No visible shift.

And if I’m honest, those seasons test me more than the hard ones.

Because growth that is loud is easy to celebrate.

Growth that is quiet requires trust.

Sometimes I expect progress to look obvious. I expect change to feel fast. But God often works beneath the surface — in ways I can’t measure and in places I can’t immediately see.

Roots grow underground first.

Character forms in the unseen places.

Strength develops in repetition.

Faith deepens in waiting.

The world celebrates visible results. God honors quiet faithfulness.

There are prayers I’ve prayed that haven’t unfolded yet. There are areas where I still want clarity. But just because I don’t see movement doesn’t mean God isn’t working.

He is always growing something.

Even when I don’t feel it.

Even when I don’t understand it.

Even when it seems slow.

Today, I want to trust the process. I want to stay planted, keep watering, keep believing — and let God be the One who brings the growth.

Because what He grows lasts.

1 Corinthians 3:7 NIV

So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.”

Lord,

Thank You for working in ways I cannot always see.

Help me stay faithful in quiet seasons.

Strengthen my trust when growth feels slow.

Remind me that You are always at work beneath the surface.

Today, I choose patience.

I choose faithfulness.

I choose to trust You.
