THE COVENANT
Daily Devotionals & Reflections
In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”
Jeremiah 29:12–13 (NLT)

Still Worthy
Some days, you don’t feel worthy—you just feel… off.
Off in your mood.
Off in your decisions.
Off in how you handled something.
You replay conversations.
You question your reactions.
You think, “I should’ve done better.”
And slowly, without even noticing, your sense of worth starts to drop—not because God said anything… but because you did.
We can be so hard on ourselves.
One mistake, and we start disqualifying ourselves.
One bad moment, and we start rewriting who we are.
But God doesn’t do that.
He doesn’t look at you and say, “You were worthy yesterday, but not today.”
He doesn’t withdraw His love because you’re still figuring things out.
The verse doesn’t say you might be chosen if you get it right.
It says you are chosen.
Right now.
As you are.
In the middle of growing, learning, and sometimes getting it wrong.
You are still His.
Even when you feel like you missed it.
Even when you’re not at your best.
Even when you wouldn’t choose yourself in that moment…
God still does.
Tomorrow, when that quiet self-doubt creeps in again, don’t let it take over.
Pause.
Catch the thought.
And replace it with truth:
“I am still chosen. I am still worthy.”
Not because everything went right…
But because God hasn’t changed His mind about you.
1 Peter 2:9 NIV
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
What situation have I been replaying that is making me question my worth?
Am I speaking to myself the way God would speak to me?
What would shift if I believed I am still chosen—even on my off days?
As you breathe in, whisper: “I am chosen.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “Still worthy.”
Reflection
Closing Prayer
Lord,
You see every part of me—the good, the messy, and everything in between—and You still call me Yours.
Help me to stop disqualifying myself and to start agreeing with what You’ve already said about me.
When I feel off, remind me that my worth has not changed. Teach me to walk in that truth with confidence and peace.
Amen.
