Lesson From The Story Of Isaiah
The story of Isaiah teaches us that God can use an ordinary person who is willing to surrender and say, "Yes, Lord."
When Isaiah encountered God's presence, he became deeply aware of his own unworthiness. He recognized his weaknesses and his need for God's cleansing. Yet God did not disqualify Isaiah because of his imperfections.
Instead, God prepared him for a purpose.
This reminds us that God does not call us because we are perfect. He calls us because He is able to equip us.
Sometimes we may look at ourselves and think:
"I'm not ready."
"I'm not good enough."
"I don't know enough."
"Why would God choose me?"
But Isaiah's story shows us that the question is not whether we are perfect. The question is whether we are willing.
Isaiah heard God's call and responded, "Here am I. Send me!"
He didn't know everything that would happen after that moment. He simply made himself available to God.
There will be times when God asks us to step outside our comfort zone.
He may ask us to speak when we would rather remain silent.
To serve when we feel unqualified.
To forgive when we have been hurt.
To trust when we cannot see the outcome.
To go when we would rather stay.
Our responsibility is not to have every answer before we obey. Our responsibility is to trust the One who is calling us.
Isaiah also teaches us that God's presence can transform us. When we encounter Him, He changes our hearts, cleanses us, and gives us the courage to step into the purpose He has for us.
So today, don't focus on everything you think you lack.
Focus on the God who has everything you need.
If He calls you, He will equip you.
If He sends you, He will go with you.
If He gives you an assignment, He will provide the strength to complete it.
Maybe today your prayer needs to be as simple as Isaiah's:
"Here I am, Lord. Send me."
“God doesn't need me to be perfect. He needs me to be willing.”
Lessons from Isaiah
1. Encountering God changes us.
When we draw close to God, we become more aware of who He is and who we are.
2. God can use imperfect people.
Our weaknesses do not disqualify us from God's purpose.
3. We must be willing to say yes.
God is looking for hearts that are surrendered and available.
4. Obedience requires faith.
We don't always need to know the entire plan before taking the next step.
5. God equips those He calls.
When God gives us an assignment, we can trust Him to provide the strength and wisdom we need.
Isaias 6:8 NIV
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’”
Is there something God has been asking me to do that I have been hesitant to surrender to?
Am I focusing more on my weaknesses than on God's strength?
If God asked me today, "Whom shall I send?", would I be willing to say, "Here I am. Send me"?
As you breathe in, whisper: “Here I am, Lord.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “Send me.”

Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the story of Isaiah and the reminder that You can use anyone who is willing to surrender their heart to You.
Forgive me for the times I have allowed fear, insecurity, or feelings of unworthiness to keep me from saying yes to Your calling.
Cleanse my heart, strengthen my faith, and prepare me for whatever You have called me to do.
When You call me, help me to respond with courage and say, "Here I am, Lord. Send me."
I may not know where You are leading me, but I trust the One who is leading me.
