In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

When You Don't Feel Deserving
There are times when we look at our past mistakes, our failures, or our shortcomings and quietly think, "I don't deserve God's love."
The truth is—we don't.
None of us deserve His grace, His mercy, or His forgiveness.
That is what makes the Gospel so beautiful.
God never loved us because we were worthy.
He loved us because He is love.
Before we ever chose Him, He chose us.
Before we cleaned up our lives, Christ gave His life for us.
His love is not earned by good behavior, nor is it lost because of our failures.
It is a gift, freely given through Jesus Christ.
The enemy wants you to believe that your past disqualifies you.
God says your past has been forgiven.
The enemy wants you to live in shame.
God invites you to walk in freedom.
The enemy reminds you of who you were.
God reminds you of whose you are.
Today, stop measuring God's love by your feelings.
Measure it by the cross.
The cross is the greatest proof that you are deeply loved, completely forgiven, and fully accepted by God through faith in Jesus Christ.
You may not feel deserving, but God's grace was never based on what you deserve.
It has always been based on His unfailing love.
“I am not saved because I deserve it. I am saved because God is gracious.”
Romans 5:8 NIV
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Have I been allowing guilt or shame to keep me from receiving God's love?
Am I believing what God says about me or what my feelings tell me?
How can I walk confidently in the grace Christ has already given me?
As you breathe in, whisper: “Your grace is enough.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “Thank You for loving me.”
Reflection
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving me, not because I deserve it, but because You are full of grace and mercy.
When I struggle with feelings of guilt, shame, or unworthiness, remind me of the cross and the incredible price Jesus paid for me.
Help me to receive Your forgiveness, walk in Your freedom, and live each day with confidence in Your unfailing love.
Thank You that Your grace is greater than my failures and Your mercy is new every morning.
Amen.
