In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

Holding On When You Are Running Empty

There are days when the weight feels unbearable.

You have prayed.

You have trusted.

You have kept believing.

Yet another challenge comes, and you find yourself whispering, "Lord, I don't know how much more I can take."

The beautiful thing about God is that He is not offended by our honesty.

He already knows the burden you're carrying.

He sees every tear you've cried.

He hears the prayers you've prayed in silence.

And He understands the exhaustion that no one else can see.

Jesus doesn't tell us to pretend we're strong.

He invites us to come to Him when we are weak.

He doesn't ask us to carry life's burdens alone.

He asks us to place them in His hands.

Sometimes God doesn't remove the trial immediately.

Instead, He gives us the strength to endure it, the peace to walk through it, and the assurance that we are never facing it alone.

If today you feel like you're at the end of your strength, remember this:

You may be running out of strength, but God never does.

His grace is still sufficient.

His mercy is still new.

His promises are still true.

Hold on just a little longer.

The God who has carried you this far will not let go of your hand now.

“When I have reached the end of my strength, I discover that God's strength has no end.”

Matthew 11:28 NIV

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

What burden have I been trying to carry on my own?

Have I brought my weariness honestly before God?

How can I rest in His strength instead of relying only on my own?

As you breathe in, whisper: “Jesus, carry me.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “I will trust You.”

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Today I come to You weary and burdened. You know the weight I am carrying and the battles I am facing.

When I feel like I can't take another step, remind me that I don't have to walk alone. Strengthen me where I am weak, comfort me where I am hurting, and fill my heart with Your peace.

Help me to release every burden into Your hands and trust that You are working, even when I cannot see it.

Thank You for being my refuge, my strength, and my ever-present help in times of trouble.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
