Daily Devotionals & Reflections
In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

Calling on The Names of God
“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”
Today is not about asking.
It’s about remembering.
Before we seek God for what we need, we pause to remember who He is. When we call on the names of God, we are not reciting titles — we are declaring His nature, His promises, and His faithfulness to us as His children.
Each name reveals a part of His heart.
Each name reminds us of what He has already promised.
Each name invites us into worship.
So today, we call on His names — slowly, intentionally, with honor and praise.
He is Yahweh — the Great I AM, self-existent and eternal.
He is Elohim — Creator of heaven and earth, mighty and powerful.
He is El Shaddai — God Almighty, more than enough.
He is El Elyon — the Most High God, above all authority.
He is El Olam — the Everlasting God, unchanging through generations.
He is Adonai — our Lord and Master, worthy of obedience.
He is Jehovah Jireh — the Lord who provides.
He is Jehovah Rapha — the Lord who heals.
He is Jehovah Shalom — the Lord our peace.
He is Jehovah Nissi — the Lord our banner and victory.
He is Jehovah Rohi — the Lord our Shepherd.
He is Jehovah Tsidkenu — the Lord our righteousness.
He is Jehovah Mekoddishkem — the Lord who sanctifies us.
He is Jehovah Sabaoth — the Lord of Hosts, commander of heaven’s armies.
He is Jehovah Shammah — the Lord who is present, here with us.
He is El Roi — the God who sees us.
He is Abba Father — close, loving, and faithful.
He is Immanuel — God with us.
He is The Alpha and the Omega — the Beginning and the End.
He is The Faithful and True One — keeper of every promise.
When we speak His names, we remember:
We are not forgotten.
We are not unprotected.
We are not walking alone.
— 2 Peter 3:9 (NIV)
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you.”
— Psalm 103:2 (NIV)
God’s promises do not expire. His faithfulness does not weaken. His presence does not withdraw. What He has spoken over us — He will complete.
So today, let worship rise — not rushed, not distracted — but full and steady. Let praise anchor your heart again. Let remembrance silence fear.
“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
Psalms 9:10 NIV
Reflection
Which name of God do you need to call on most today?
What promise do you need to remember and trust again?
How can worship become a daily place of strength for you?
As you breathe in, whisper: “You are faithful.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “I praise You.”
Closing Prayer
Father God, today I call on Your holy name — and all that You are.
You are my Provider, my Healer, my Peace, my Shepherd, my Victory, and my Righteousness.
You are the God who sees me, walks with me, and keeps His promises.
I honor You not only for what You have done,
but for who You are — yesterday, today, and forever.
Let my life be shaped by worship, remembrance, and trust.
You are worthy of all praise.
Amen.
