In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

Jehovah Tsidkenu — The Lord Our Righteousness
“This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior.”
There are days when I feel confident in my faith — and then there are days when I’m painfully aware of how far I still have to go.
Days when I replay conversations and wish I had responded differently.
Days when I miss the mark and feel that quiet weight of disappointment — not just in myself, but the fear that I’ve disappointed God too. Without realizing it, I start trying to make up for it by doing more, trying harder, or being better.
That’s when I need to remember Jehovah Tsidkenu.
Jehovah Tsidkenu means the Lord our righteousness. Not the Lord who waits for me to get it right — but the Lord who covers me when I don’t. This name meets me right in the middle of my imperfections and reminds me that my relationship with God isn’t built on my performance.
I don’t earn my way into God’s presence.
I don’t lose my place when I struggle.
I don’t have to carry the weight of being “enough.”
Scripture says it clearly:
— 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)
“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
That means when I fall short, God doesn’t turn away.
He draws near.
He covers me with grace.
And He invites me to keep walking forward.
Jehovah Tsidkenu doesn’t ignore sin — He frees me from living under its weight. He teaches me, corrects me, and restores me — not out of disappointment, but out of love.
My part isn’t to beat myself up or pretend I’m fine.
My part is to come back to God honestly.
To receive what He’s already offering.
And to live differently — not to earn His love, but because I already have it.
Today, I want to stop striving to prove myself and start resting in who God says I am.
Jeremiah 23:6 NIV
Reflection
Where do you feel like you’re falling short right now?
What would it look like to stop striving and receive grace instead?
How can you walk today knowing God has already covered you?
As you breathe in, whisper: “You cover me.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “I receive grace.”
Closing Prayer
Thank You for covering me when I don’t get it right.
When I feel unworthy or tempted to strive, remind me that You are my righteousness.
Help me come back to You honestly instead of hiding or trying to fix myself.
Teach me to walk forward in freedom, humility, and gratitude.
Today, I choose grace over guilt
and trust over striving,
resting in what You have already done.
Amen.
