THE COVENANT
Daily Devotionals & Reflections
In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

The Silence Before The Promise
This is the in-between day.
Jesus has been crucified.
The disciples are grieving.
Nothing seems to be happening.
It feels quiet.
Still.
Uncertain.
Take a deep breath.
Because here is the truth:
God is still working—even when you can’t see it.
The disciples thought it was over.
They didn’t know that resurrection was already on the way.
What looked like the end…
was actually the beginning.
And this is what today reminds us:
When life feels still, God is not inactive.
When prayers seem unanswered, God is not absent.
When you feel stuck, your story is not over.
This moment—this silence—is not empty.
It is full of unseen movement.
Full of preparation.
Full of purpose.
So if you’re in a season where nothing makes sense—
where you’re waiting, hurting, or unsure—
Pause.
Breathe.
Trust.
Because what you cannot see…
God is already handling.
Sunday is coming.
Matthew 28:1 NIV
“In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week…”
Where in my life does it feel like nothing is happening?
Can I trust that God is working, even in the silence?
What would it look like to wait with faith instead of fear?
As you breathe in, whisper: “You are working.”
As you breathe out, whisper: “I trust You.”
Reflection
Closing Prayer
Lord,
In the quiet and uncertain moments, help me to trust that You are still at work.
When I don’t see movement, remind me that You are moving in ways I cannot understand. Give me peace in the waiting and faith to believe that what feels like an ending is not the end.
Amen.
