THE COVENANT

Daily Devotionals & Reflections

In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”

You Don’t Have to Hold It All Together

There’s a quiet pressure we carry sometimes…

To stay strong.

To keep it together.

To not let anything slip.

So we hold it in.

We push through.

We tell ourselves, “I’ll deal with it later.”

But “later” comes… and we’re still carrying it.

The stress.

The emotions.

The weight of trying to manage everything at once.

And slowly, it becomes exhausting.

But God never asked you to hold everything together.

He didn’t ask you to carry every thought, every worry, every outcome.

He simply said: give it to Me.

Not just the big things.

Not just when it gets overwhelming.

But all of it.

The small worries you brush off.

The thoughts you don’t say out loud.

The pressure you’ve learned to live with.

You don’t have to filter what you bring to Him.

You can come exactly as you are—tired, unsure, overwhelmed—and release it.

Because He cares.

Not casually.

Not from a distance.

But deeply, personally, and intentionally.

So today, instead of trying to hold everything together…

Let something fall into God’s hands.

One worry.

One thought.

One burden.

And trust that He can hold what you don’t have the strength to carry.

1 Peter 5:7 NIV

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

What am I trying to hold together right now?

What have I been keeping to myself instead of giving to God?

What would it feel like to truly release it?

As you breathe in, whisper: “I release it.

As you breathe out, whisper: “You care for me.”

Reflection

Closing Prayer

Lord,

I’ve been trying to hold everything together on my own, and it’s become heavy. Thank You for reminding me that I don’t have to carry it all.

Help me to release my worries, my stress, and my need to control into Your hands. Teach me to trust in Your care and rest in Your peace.

Amen.
